Explore Balance Craniosacral Therapy

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) is a gentle hands-on therapy that supports your body’s natural ability to restore balance and well-being. This work helps regulate the nervous system, shifting it out of fight - flight - freeze patterns and into states of rest, digestion, and repair.

Using light, respectful touch—generally starting at the feet and often including the head, spine, or sacrum—the practitioner listens to subtle rhythms in your body, allowing tension, overwhelm, or strain patterns to gently release. This supports homeostasis, nervous system resilience, and the body’s capacity for healing.

Sessions are fully clothed and take place in a calm, quiet setting. People often experience a sense of deep stillness, grounding, and ease.

BCST can support recovery from stress and injury; improve sleep, digestion, and mood; and enhance overall health, performance, and function. It’s suitable for all stages and seasons of life.

This is a trauma-informed, client-led therapy—your body sets the pace, and everything unfolds with respect for your unique process.

Jodie was hewn from the mountains of Northern British Columbia; motivated by an innate drive toward kinesthetic experience, her history is one of adventure and wild places as a backcountry hiker and hunter, mountain-sport lover, and Smokejumper for BC Wildfire. In the active pursuit and support of physical and mental health, she has tended her roles within the community with a nurturing strength and a capacity to hold space for others in sometimes challenging and unpredictable environments.

This capacity has grown more rich and layered as her studies have broadened and her internal supports deepened. She has delved into healing modalities like yoga, meditation, trauma recovery, and polyvagal theory, and begun exploring a passion for the potential of a more holistic version of health. Out of this has grown a greater respect for the subtle layers of things, the deeper mechanisms at work within human systems and how they mirror the rhythms of the natural world.

Jodie’s arc of growth has since been continuously propelled by her desire to support the whole human system. In 2025 she completed her Two Year Training in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy with Vancouver based Body Intelligence. As a practitioner, she is nurturing and empathetic, allowing her clients’ system to move at the speed of trust, the intention being an expansion in their capacity for shifting states—-their ability to flow smoothly through varied experiences. Her innate strength and warmth coalesce to give her sessions a particular kind of tone. She’s at once steady, and responsive to the flow of things, which creates a container for her clients that is both safe, and attuned to what is being expressed in each moment. When the client meets her in that willingness, deep and uncommon shifts can occur.

Jodie moves into the future with a commitment to study and growth, not simply as a means for her own continued development, but as a way to support those within her community—from new parents and babies, to first responders and older adults. Her practice, Explore Balance Craniosacral Therapy, tends the community of Fort St John where she can be found delighting in wild places, adventure, and her garden.
